Dr. Mustanir Ahmad earned his PhD in English Language & Literature from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. His research interests span a range of topics, including postcolonial theory and literature, postmodern narrative techniques (such as magical realism, hallucinatory realism, intertextuality, historiographic metafiction, etc.), South Asian and South American literature, teaching English as a second language, psychoanalysis, and social psychology.
Dr. Ahmad has numerous research publications in both national and international journals. A collection of his poems was published in Vienna and London under the title "A Drop of Rain and Other Poems". So far, as an HEC-recognized PhD Supervisor, he has successfully supervised 6 PhD and 56 MPhil students. In addition, Dr. Ahmad contributes actively to academia as a member of various statutory bodies at universities across Pakistan, advancing research and academic programs in his field.
