HOD Message
I welcome all the students & their parents to the Department of law. Law degree is an essence of today’s world. We are committed to providing not only the legal education to our students but also the leadership qualities through which they can create employment to others. The vision of the Department of Law is to produce high-tech professionals for the promotion of law and order in the society and academia to pay a vital role in the economic growth of the country. The Department of Law was established in 2004 and has showed a tremendous outcome in a very short time and upraised to the highest level to be a School of Law in 2008 while reverted in 2015 to LLB (5 years). The mission of the Department of law is to provide concept based legal education in the field of law, to produce good/ fruitful lawyers, train them in legal research and that would definitely lead to produce quality researcher. To impart knowledge in the fields of social Sciences generally and Legal studies and ethics particularly for inculcating the universal values of truth, justice and morality among the youth on one hand and to provide a befitting research-based center for contributing to the original research in the world research pool for the service of mankind, on the other hand. It further aims at imbuing the students with higher and nobler ideals of Islam and socializing them into well-rounded personalities, ever-ready to serve their own nation, the “Ummah” and humanity at large. Introduction
The Department of Law was established in 2004 and has showed a tremendous outcome in a very short time and upraised to the highest level to be a School of Law in 2008. The degree courses, which were offered, have been adopted from the approved curriculum of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for LL.B, LL.M, and Ph.D. Twenty students were enrolled in the very first batch. The course of study was extended over three years (six semester) comprising of LL.B (Part- I) LL.B (Part- II) and LL.B (Part- III). In 2008 School of law offered admission in LL.M program and there were 4 students enrolled in its first batch. In 2009 Ph.D Admission were announced and 5 students were enrolled in it. About three years back, we started admission in LL.B (5-Years) program and were simultaneously running this program along with 3-years program since 2013. Currently due to the directions of Bar Council and HEC we have restricted our Programs i.e. just LL.B (5-years) in order to curb legal studies. The Department of law is maintaining a library other than the central library with almost Four Thousand Books; law report, journals, reviews, and other material representing the various legal systems of different countries are available and have sufficient books to provide information about various courses....
