Dr. Shujaat Ali Khan Biography

Dr. Shujaat Ali Khan has 25 years of experience of practicing and teaching Journalism/Media Studies and serving since November 2006 as Lecturer/ Assistant Professor January 2012 & founding Head, Department of Communication & Media Studies at Hazara University, Mansehra, Pakistan. https://hu.edu.pk/faculty/detail/112 . He has served as print, TV and broadcast journalist for 09 years (January 1998 to November 2006) covering variety of areas including environmental and sustainable development journalism. Dr. Khan has done his Master Degree from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan and M.Phil from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. Title of his M.Phil thesis is “Environmental Reporting in Pakistan: An Analysis of current status and trends in reporting environmental issues in print media of Pakistan”, while PhD from Martin Luther University, Germany. title of his PhD research is “Community Radio in Developing Countries: Its Role & Potentials as agent of sustainable development—A case study of Pakistan" focuses on the role and potentials of community radio in sustainable development of communities in developing countries with special emphasis on Pakistan.
