“Introduction”
Training is essentially concerned with increasing knowledge, skills and improving performance of the employees for doing specific jobs, and enhancing the growth of employees in all aspects. Whereas training increases job performing skills, develop profiles and attitudes of employees.
Hazara University Training Center (HTC) was established in October 2014, with the motive to equip staff and faculty of the university with latest knowledge and skills. Due to its uniqueness and specialized nature, HTC has ascertained a position as one of the important section of Hazara University. The center is mainly concerned with training and development of the human resource and organizing seminars on emerging issues to create conducive and friendly environment for effective teaching and learning.

The mission statement of Hazara University Training Centre (HTC) is to provide a practical lab environment for enhancing and developing skills, knowledge and abilities of the individuals at all levels to meet their job requirements and needs.

As a principal Training Centre of the Hazara University, HTC is dedicated to maximizing human potential, and utilize skills, knowledge and abilities of the individuals up to utmost level. Hazara University Training Centre builds alliances and works in a compatible manner with other departments/sections in order to provide and transform the most advanced knowledge, tools, and practices used to influence personal, interpersonal, team, and organizational effectiveness. |
The focus of HTC is on creating relevant real time contextual experience based learning opportunities to the employees and students of Hazara University, by focusing on creating knowledge atmosphere and sustainable working environment. The HTC has the following objectives:
HTC always try to find out training opportunities for faculty, employees, and students both on-campus and off-campus at national and international level. On-campus trainings are conducted on need bases, where expertise of the faculty and staff are utilized for Hazara University employees and students. Hazara University Training Centre has established its existence by promoting and contributing in the field of human development, knowledge creation, talent management, career development and creating learning and conducive working environment.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Impact Challenge (KPIC) Entrepreneurship Development program:
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Impact Challenge is a first of its kind government-led initiative for a province-wide economic and social impact competition to promote youth entrepreneurship, innovation, and to provide economic opportunities for talented youth in KP. The KP Impact Challenge (KPIC) is centred towards the rural youth of KP, who do not necessarily have a background in or exposure on how to run a business.
Hazara University is selected on the basis of its diverse contribution in academic environment of the province and wide impact on entrepreneurship development and training as the satellite campuses for Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) under this project. Three Faculty members of Hazara University are selected as Master Trainers for KPIC Project of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These trainers are now conducting independent Training sessions for the Project. Every effort is made to harmonize quality across the selected cohorts of the students. As a result, Eighteen Students of Hazara University were selected for Business startup Grants.These businesses are actively running now and employed more than 50 individuals, which will grow up to 100 next year.

Hazara University training center has waste experience and linkages with the renowned organizations in development sector. To become a “Professional Development Center”, HTC will extent the activities to accelerate its services for Students, Faculty and Employees of the Hazara University. In this connection the following will be the Part of the Centre:
Develop and enhance the entrepreneurial environment within the University to involve the students for development of their business ideas and market as a leader.
Conducting workshop/seminar on skills development particularly communication, presentation, and interview skills, and boosting the confidence level of students which is the utmost need of any workplace.
