Political Science and International Relations

The Department of Political Science and International Relations (DPSIR) at Hazara University, Mansehra, is committed to academic excellence, critical inquiry, and the advancement of knowledge in the fields of politics, governance, and international affairs. Since its establishment, the department has played a vital role in preparing students to meet the challenges of an evolving political and global environment.

Through its diverse programs — including BS Political Science, BS International Relations, MPhil, and PhD — the department emphasizes rigorous scholarship, research, and practical engagement. With a multidisciplinary approach, the department trains students to critically analyze national, regional, and global issues while promoting values of democracy, peace, and responsible citizenship.

The mission of the Department of Political Science and International Relations is to:

Provide quality education in political science and international relations through innovative teaching and research.
Cultivate analytical, ethical, and leadership skills among students to prepare them for roles in academia, governance, diplomacy, and civil society.
Promote interdisciplinary research addressing national and global challenges of governance, democracy, security, and development.
Contribute to community engagement, policy debates, and the advancement of democratic values and international cooperation.

Online Khuli Kachehri Held at Hazara University Under the Chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan

Pursuant to the directives of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an Online Khuli Kachehri (open court) session was held at the Conference Room of the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Hazara University. During the session, student queries and issues were discussed, with on-spot directives issued to concerned officials for priority resolution.

Vice Chancellor Agriculture University Applauds Hazara Universal Solutions as a Model for University-Led Enterprise

Prof. Dr. Sar Zameen Khan, Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University, visited Hazara University and held an interactive session with the Board of Directors and management of Hazara Universal Solutions Private Limited. The visiting Vice Chancellor appreciated the university's initiatives for alternative revenue generation, expressed interest in collaboration, and received a detailed briefing on company registration formalities from the Company Secretary.
