M.Sc Conservation Studies

MSc Conservation Studies is a two-year program. The program targeted at students seeking further education and enhanced training in conservation techniques. The program aims at ensuring students acquire in-depth subject knowledge and relevant skills to successfully pursue careers in a variety of areas. It is a multi-disciplinary subject comprising of total 73 credit hours. In the first year student will study foundation courses in conservation, whereas in second year students will study major courses in conservation of organic and inorganic materials, wildlife conservation, and various analytical techniques along with a research project which enables students to apply the quantitative and qualitative tools. The courses are based on theoretical and practical work.
The medium of instruction is English for all degree programs. Assessments of students are done in different ways quizzes, presentation, practical work, mid-term and terminal exam.

Note: Students from various disciplines shall require attending extra 5-8 credit hours of foundation courses according to their needs.

 

Eligibility for Admission

Candidates with BA/BSc or equivalent qualification and having at least second division, securing 45% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply. Qualifying the admission test and interview is compulsory. Candidates scoring less than 40% marks each in the test/interview will stand disqualified for admission.
