A high level delegation of USAID and CDM construction consortium visited Hazara University for signing the MoU. Under the agreement, the USAID will construct academic block for Pre-STEP (Hons) Program of Teachers training. The program would enable the teachers to get a comprehensive training for teaching making them effective classroom teachers, which is the greatest crisis in Pakistan. The qualified teachers of honour degrees will replace the old training certificates and degrees in a gradual manner during the coming years. The courses of studies relating to education, psychology and school administration, organization etc. would be taught on modern lines. The meeting was attended by the senior officers of Hazara University and the USAID delegation. After visiting the site of construction where the Vice Chancellor formally handed over the subject site to the chief of delegation. The MoU was signed in the conference room. The USAID assured the university that the subject academic block would be a monumental one and will be a beautiful addition on the already scenic campus. It will comprise classrooms, auditorium, laboratories, libraries and all the related facilities for teachers. The program will be given full support both in material and teaching courses over the years by Pre-STEP and USAID. The construction of the block will be completed in one year after the groundbreaking ceremony and the building will be handed over to the university will all the facilities.
