The legal clinic established by the school of law Hazara University Mansehra will be a great step to create awareness among the students, faculty and the people of the vicinity in particular and the whole of the country in general. These views were expressed by Prof. Dr. Syed Sakhawat Shah, Vice Chancellor Hazara University while inaugurating the legal clinic in the school of law Hazara University. Earlier, Dr. Sohail Shahzad, Dean Law & Administrative Sciences welcoming the Vice Chancellor expressed his heartfelt thanks for participating in the inaugurating ceremony. The school of law which was being run by the committed faculty was aiming not only for the knowledge of law but also inculcating the skill and values which are the basic ingredients to make the best use of knowledge. Knowledge alone cannot deliver to the society and our students and faculty were devoted to communicate and disseminate the cultural, social and human values while informing the students about the basics of law. Dr. Sohail Shahzad emphasized upon moral values, which are being trampled over by the material approach of the modern society-giving rise to drug addiction, drug trafficking family ties creating havoc in the society. The legal clinic will focus to address all these ills storming our society and breaking the religious fabric and destroying the foundation of the human society, which was based on respect for law, a primary condition of evolution of society. Later on, he escorted the chief guest to the library and the private legal clinic where the victims can deliver their problems. The society recalled the will of the late eminent jurist Mufti Muhammad Idrees (Alig) who promised to donate his entire personal library for establishing a Mufti Idrees Corner in the School of Law. The Vice Chancellor and the Dean School of Law welcomed the noble gesture and promised to establish link with the son of Mufti Muhammad Idrees, Mufti Zahid Idrees for early realization of his will. Thereafter, the meeting condole the death of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Malik, the founder Chairman of Law Department Hazara University.
