The Haripur Campus is established with the widespread support from provincial government, especially the Governor, the Chief Minister and the Minister for Environment and Forest . The land for campus was handed over by Forest Development Corporation. Haripur Campus is the third campus of Hazara University , established within last 22 years with a mission in mind of the Vice Chancellor of Hazara University to provide higher education to students at the doorsteps.
Initially three departments have been launched in the campus offering undergraduate and graduate programs in environmental science, agriculture and education. The first batch of students has started its classes on April 21 st , 2008.
Internet usage in teaching and research institutes has immense importance. It is now a matter of honor and pleasure for the employees of Haripur Campus that a high speed internet carrying 2 Mbps would be functional in February 2009 in all departments and offices of the campus. The student and faculty packages would provide unlimited access to internet facilities at very low cost, both at home and on campus. This facility is providing boundless benefits in promotion of research in educational and administrative affairs.

Current enrollment in all departments of the campus is 319 students.
